Policy Advocacy
FSN conducts dialogues, debates, campaigns and policy briefs with critical stakeholders to lobby for gender sensitive policies that promotes a conducive learning environment for female students in higher and tertiary institutions and beyond.
Women’s and girls participation in leadership
FSN mobilises, conscientises and train a critical mass of female students to effectively participate in institutional decision-making processes such as Students Representative Councils (SRCs) and other governance platforms to enable them to influence transformative change towards building a vibrant movement.
Women / Girl’s and Human Rights
FSN ensures that female students in HTEI are more aware of and can exercise their rights and able to represent their peers.
Psychosocial Support
FSN provides solidarity and support to survivors of GBV through rapid response, counselling, a temporary hub and referral pathways to other services such as medication and treatment, legal advice and representation.
Media advocacy
FSN conveys its advocacy messages through various media platforms such as radio, TV shows, Facebook, twitter, blogs, research, documentation, YouTube and WhatsApp. Female students interact and share information, stories of change through these platforms so as to inspire, motivate and encourage each other. Through researching, the Network gets insight on areas that need intervention thus forming the basis of female students driven initiatives.
Awareness Campaigns
FSN carries out situational campaigns such as Stop Violence against Women and Girls, Peace Marches, Commemorations and Conventions where it distributes Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material such as t-shirts, caps, wrist bands with branded messages.
Health and Wellbeing
Thriving students need safe, caring spaces.
FSN promotes mental, physical, and sexual health for female students through trauma-informed support, menstrual dignity, campus safety, and SRHR advocacy. We normalize healing, fight stigma, and build systems of care because wellbeing is power.

need to thrive in the digital age. Through targeted programs in technology education,
cyberspace safety, and digital literacy, FSN fosters inclusive learning environments
where girls can explore coding, online entrepreneurship, and digital storytelling. By
integrating digital tools into education and livelihoods, FSN helps transform
futures—ensuring that girls are not just consumers of technology, but creators,
innovators, and leaders in the digital world.
